Bad Hombre is a Ventura County–based self-taught artist and resident artist at Rizocorp Gallery whose work blends Chicano culture, Kustom Kulture, lowbrow aesthetics, and classic figurative painting into a style he calls Barrio Baroque. Bold color, cinematic lighting, humor, sensuality, and nostalgia collide in paintings filled with Chingónas, lucha legends, pulp-inspired imagery, hot rod energy, and unapologetic attitude.
A veteran and former bassist for the band Mantequilla and the Hot Tortillas, Bad Hombre brings that same rhythm, swagger, and raw creative energy into every canvas and mural. His work celebrates women as powerful, sensual, and fearless, while his luchadors stand as heroic and iconic figures rooted in culture, storytelling, and personal identity.
His artwork has been featured in galleries, art shows, murals, and collaborative projects across California. He is also a contributing artist for the upcoming Luchadores vs Everything art book and will be featured at LA Comic Con 2026 Artist Alley.
From large-scale murals to original paintings and collectible prints, Bad Hombre creates artwork meant to feel alive — work that makes people laugh, remember, feel inspired, and reconnect with imagination, culture, and nostalgia.
